The Black Heritage Association
The Black Heritage Association is a Registered Charity which promotes the welfare and social wellbeing of the members of the Caribbean Community in Southampton. Participate in various group activities, social events and fundraising. Arts, crafts, singing, drama, dominoes and other games in a cosy and welcoming space. Over the years they have taken part in a wide range of community projects and activities in collaboration with other groups and organisations in the community and have raised awareness of the black culture and history that shaped present-day Southampton.

Southampton Advice & Representation Centre
Free, impartial and confidential advice, offering a wide variety of support on welfare benefits, employment law and all forms of discrimination to residents of Southampton. SARC are committed to working to remove barriers to accessing services so that all members of our community and all communities in the city can receive the support and assistance.

Southampton : Stand up to Racism
Southampton Stand Up to Racism is a dynamic local group dedicated to combating racism, prejudice, and discrimination in community. Through awareness-raising, campaigns, and collaborative efforts, the organisation works tirelessly to promote equality, challenge discriminatory practices, and create an inclusive society that celebrates diversity and respects the dignity of every individual.

The Black Freshers Guide – Student Handbook
Introducing the Black Freshers’ Guide 2022/23, presented by the Awarding Gap project. Black students at the University have crafted this guide to assist incoming students in exploring their exciting journey at Southampton.

Awarding Gap Project
A Widening Participation and Social Mobility project aimed at reducing the awarding gaps that exists between Black and marginalised minority Ethnic students and white students.
